Corporate Sponsorship Manager

Alberta Ballet & Alberta Ballet School (Calgary & Edmonton) (August 2021 – March 2022)

 

Cultivated and stewarded relationships with companies in all of Alberta Ballet’s key communities. Helped drive revenue for Alberta Ballet by building a pipeline of corporate partners and sales initiatives through corporate ticket sales, client hosting and sponsorship.

Key Deliverables/Responsibilities; 

  • Managed a portfolio of 65 corporate stakeholders generating $500K revenue through critical thinking and implementation of corporate partnership agreements.  

  • Generated $95K in ticket sales by converting declined sponsorship renewals into tickets sales ensuring the revenue stays within the company.

  • Delivered over $400K of in-kind partnerships to cut costs and cover corporate budget lines.

  • Lead provincial sponsorship fundraising for Alberta Ballet and Alberta Ballet School including being the top connection between the stakeholder and Alberta Ballet.

  • Developed and implemented sales pipeline strategy to generate new revenue by converting leads into agreements.

  • Enhanced the profile of Alberta Ballet Company as a premier provincial institution for corporate partners and sponsors through business-to-business sales and prospect research.

  • Acted as a client advocate in the representation of sponsor interests with team members and other departments at Alberta Ballet.

  • Partnered with others throughout the organization to identify, conceptualize, develop and leverage Alberta Ballet assets.

  • Worked closely with the marketing, artistic, and other relevant departments to support the development of corporate sales strategies and plans.

  • Stewarded relationships with existing corporate partners and develop relationships with new partners.

  • Managed a portfolio of corporate sponsor relationships, as well as work jointly on relationships and projects with other team members.

  • Promoted Alberta Ballet as an opportunity for corporate partners to provide employee engagement.

  • Generated new business leads from cold calling, prospect research and industry networking.

  • Created, managed and delivered stewardship packages and proposals with a thorough knowledge of Alberta Ballet’s ability to deliver client benefits.

  • Lead the planning and execution of on-site sponsor activities.

Check out this video project I brought to life in partnership with Calgary Porsche. The goal was to attract a younger audience to the ballet while bringing a targeted affluential female demographic to the new Porsche Macan.
